Amidst all the chaos
happening each day and night
I decided today
to dive deep into my mind
It‘s a perfect day
heavy clouds are gathering while the sun sinks
and I may be troubled, like yesterday and the days before
but I have nothing for tomorrow’s Christmas
So I shall march now into midnight
with booze and a mirror
hoping to find in my dark depths
the courage to love
