People

I've celebrated anniversaries and birthdays
with tax-evading millionaires,
shared drinks
with the alone and homeless.
I've witnessed the dying eyes
of commuters and workers,
they carry on their foolishness
playing sheep.
Others around me
are people
never known to me
and never will be.
And it bothered me
that one bum
is more life enriched
than a thousand squares.
But that
that my dear friends
deserve realisation
then indifference.
